Great place to Camp. Lots of shady trees areas. Beautiful Lake! if you like the fish there's a lot of fishing areas. They don't have electricity but because of that the place isn't packed all the time. So if you can go without electricity it's a beautiful place to camp.
It's home for me. It's quiet, peaceful, a serene. It would be nice if the would upgrade with power for campers, but it's a great place to chill and relax with family and friends.
Other thing is no swimming. :-(
Super friendly staff, let me lock up my kayak with them overnight so I didn't have to load/unload again but it was safe.
Great little lake to paddle around on, but mostly for beginners. Experienced paddles in a canoe or kayak will quickly get bored, this is a smaller lake! I always see folks fishing but as to the quality of fishing I wouldn't know.
The bad: Generator noise. Except for 10pm-7am, no limit on Generators. What the hell do people go camping for to sit in AC, or watch TV??
We wish there would be more limitations on generators. Solution would be to require them to go all the way to one end of the camp.
Tent camping sites. No electrical hookups but you can still camp in campers if you want. Beautiful Campground with lots of shade. Very nice Lake with fishing available. There appears to be an option for canoe rentals available. Boat ramp and dock. Multiple bathroom locations within the campground. Picnic tables near the water.
The good: Inexpensive. $8/night. Sites are not cramped. Lake is great view and good for fishing. Normally quiet. Great local bar/grill- Don's Bar in town.
We really like it here. Staff is friendly and accommodating!
But it's beautiful, quiet, and well kept. I like that you're not cramped close to other campers and that trees are everywhere. Good for hammocks and securing your tent cover for a storm.
If not for Generator noise this would get 5-stars!
Only note is that these have been the most odiferous restrooms I have encountered almost anywhere, with only one stinky rival up north at Lewis and Clark lake. Not a deal breaker, just beware.
